Jones Valley Teaching Farm

Jones Valley Teaching Farm is a Birmingham, Alabama–based nonprofit organization that uses food, farming, and culinary arts to provide hands-on educational experiences for students from pre-K through 12th grade. Founded in 2002, the organization partners with local schools to integrate agriculture into classroom learning, helping students develop skills in science, math, nutrition, leadership, and teamwork. Through its Good School Food program, school-based teaching farms, and community initiatives, Jones Valley Teaching Farm also promotes access to fresh produce, sustainable agriculture, and career opportunities for young people while building healthier, more connected communities.
